1. Purpose

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform users of our Site of the following:

We only collect data that helps us achieve the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will not collect any additional data beyond the data listed below without notifying you first.

We may collect the following data when you perform certain functions on our Site, such as submitting a contact form:

  • Email address; and
  • Phone number.

4. How We Use Personal Data

Data collected on our Site will only be used for the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy or indicated on the relevant pages of our Site. We will not use your data beyond what we disclose in this Privacy Policy.

5.1 Employees

Your personal data is primarily stored and processed in Canada. If any data is transferred outside of Quebec, we will ensure that equivalent privacy protections are in place in accordance with applicable law, and a privacy impact assessment will be conducted prior to any such transfer.

7. How Long We Store Personal Data

User data will be stored only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. Contact form submissions are generally retained for a maximum of three (3) years following the last interaction, unless a longer retention period is required for legal or regulatory purposes.

You will be notified if your data is kept for longer than this period.

8. How We Protect Your Personal Data

In order to protect your personal information and ensure data security, we employ the following measures:

  • Use of strong encryption (SSL/TLS) for data transmitted through our Site;
  • Storage of data on servers in secure facilities located in Canada;
  • Access restricted to authorized employees only; and
  • Employees are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.

In the event of a confidentiality incident involving your personal information that presents a risk of serious injury, we will:

  • Notify the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (CAI);
  • Notify affected individuals promptly, describing the nature of the incident, the personal information concerned, and the measures taken to reduce the risk of harm; and
  • Maintain a register of all confidentiality incidents, as required by law.

10. How to Access, Modify, Delete, or Challenge the Data Collected

Under applicable Quebec privacy law, you have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data held by us;
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal obligations;
  • Withdraw your consent to the collection or use of your data; and
  • Request the portability of your personal data in a commonly used technological format.

We will respond to your request within 30 days, as required by law.

11. Children

We do not knowingly collect or use personal data from children under 14 years of age. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 14 years of age, the personal data will be deleted as soon as possible. If a child under 14 years of age has provided us with personal data, their parent or guardian may contact our Person Responsible for the Protection of Personal Information.

12. Modifications

This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time in order to maintain compliance with the law and to reflect any changes to our data collection process. When we amend this Privacy Policy, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this Privacy Policy. We recommend that our users periodically review our Privacy Policy to ensure that they are notified of any updates. If necessary, we may notify users by email of changes to this Privacy Policy.
